Optimal health is more than the ability of the body to operate sufficiently in a particular moment; it also means the ability to withstand the challenges of everyday life. These challenges may come from communicable disease (flues and colds), increased stress, increased physical activity, a toxic environment, or dietary changes. A nutritional approach to health can and will support the body in such a way that it can thrive despite the challenges of living, not just surviving.
This is the basis of why I work with diet and nutrition that is tailored to each individual to enhance health and well-being. Here is a brief description of what I carry and work with in nutrition.
Homeopathic supplements: Homeopathy is a medical philosophy and practice based on the idea that the body has the ability to heal itself. It is based on the idea that “likes cures like.” That is, if a substance causes a symptom in a healthy person, giving the person a very small amount of the same substance may cure the illness. The purpose of using this medicine is to safely work with many conditions. Homeopathic remedies are effective with infections, circulatory problems, respiratory problems, heart disease, depression and nervous disorders, migraine headaches, allergies, arthritis, and diabetes. It is a good option to explore for acute and chronic illnesses, particularly if these are found in early stages and where there is not severe damage.
Botanical supplements: Also known as herbal remedies. Botanical medicine includes plant parts as well as bark, seeds, roots, and stems. These types of supplements aim to return the body to a state of natural balance, so that it can start healing itself. Different herbs act on different systems of the body.
Nutritional Supplements: All nutritional supplements will be used to boost the nutritional content of the diet. The purpose for these supplements are used to boost overall health and energy; to provide immune system support and reduce the risk of illness and age-related conditions; to improve the performance in athletic and mental activities, and to support the healing process during illness and disease. Some of the main nutritional supplements that I will have are vitamins, minerals, probiotics, enzymes, essential fatty acids, as well as supplements for glandular support.
Taking in consideration the three main lines of nutrition that I have listed: I am not claiming to cure, diagnose, or treat any client for any illnesses. I only recommend these forms of nutrition as a source to enhance health.
